About
Why Annette?
Because I listen first, and I take the little things seriously.
Hello, I’m Annette
I’m the person behind Annette’s Gentle Journeys. I help adults and families plan holidays in the UK and abroad, particularly when planning or travelling feels overwhelming: too many choices, unfamiliar arrangements, sensory or routine needs, anxiety, mobility, energy or changing memory.
Autistic and ADHD travellers, neurodivergent children and their families, mature travellers, people with an assistance dog, and groups whose members each need something different are all welcome. You don’t need a label, and you never have to explain why.
I listen, I research and I plan with you in mind, so you can look forward to the holiday part.

How I work
- I listen firstBefore anything else, I want to understand what matters to you, including the little things.
- Then I researchDestinations, accommodation, transport, transfers and the practical details that affect how a holiday feels.
- And I use my judgementI tell you what I found, what’s worth knowing and what I think. The decision always stays yours.
Family travel, and the little things
I plan with families in mind, and I know from my own experience how much mobility and energy can shape a trip. That’s why I ask about the little things.
“Tell me the little things. They usually aren’t little. ♥”
“Not everyone fits neatly into a box. Your holiday shouldn’t have to either.”
Everyone has a jar
We help leave room for the unexpected.
We each have only so much energy and patience to give. Good planning leaves a little room in your jar, so a delayed transfer or a tiring day doesn’t tip it over.
