Annette’s Gentle Journeys — Calm & Supported Travel Planning

Planning

What you receive, explained simply.

There are two separate things. You can stop after either, and nothing is automatic. One is free and one is a paid service. I do the comparing, so you don’t have to.

Free, no obligation

1. Travel Snapshot

An initial overview of what’s possible, so you can see whether a trip feels right before deciding anything.

I read every enquiry personally and prepare each Snapshot myself, where suitable. If you haven’t chosen a destination, I suggest ideas to start from. If you have, I focus on that place.

Depending on your enquiry, a Snapshot may touch on

  • Where you could go, and where you could stay
  • How long the journey and transfers take
  • What the weather feels like, the currency and the time difference
  • Food and meal arrangements to ask about
  • Quieter spaces, and things to do nearby

Each Snapshot is set out in four parts

  • FactsWhat I found
  • ConsiderationsThings worth knowing
  • My thoughtsMy professional view
  • You decideThe choice stays yours

These are possibilities, not a promise to research every item. A Snapshot is an overview and a starting point, not a full check of every detail. You can use it to plan on your own.

2. Personalised Travel Plan

The Snapshot shows you the possibilities. The Plan works through the details.

It is for when you’d like the details worked through around your needs. You don’t need to have chosen a destination first: helping you find a suitable one can be part of the Plan.

A Plan may include

  • Help choosing a suitable destination, if you haven’t decided
  • Your journey and arrival, including transfers
  • How your accommodation is laid out, and what to expect there
  • Food and dietary research
  • Things to do, and trips out
  • Planning around sensory needs, familiar routines, accessibility and energy
  • Fewer decisions for you: I narrow the choices rather than hand you a pile of options
  • Quiet and rest options, and alternatives if plans change
  • Local practicalities, packing ideas and useful contacts

How it works: we agree what the Plan will cover, and the price, before any paid work begins. You then receive it written down, based on the priorities and preferences you’ve shared with me.

Your needs come first. I research carefully, and I’ll always tell you what I found and where I found it. Every hotel, airline and venue is different, though, and things can change, so I can’t guarantee medical safety, accessibility or allergy suitability.

For anything important to you, such as step-free access, medical needs or allergies, please confirm it directly with the provider before you book. I’ll point out what’s worth asking.

You can use your Snapshot or Plan to make your own arrangements, wherever you like.

An example

Illustration only, not a real client

Say you tell me: “My mum tires quickly, and busy, noisy places are hard for her. We’d like a few relaxed days by the sea.”

In your Snapshot you might see a couple of calmer places to consider, how long it takes to get there, and what to ask about quieter rooms.

If you then ask for a Plan, I’d help you settle on the right place, then work through the journey, the transfer, the layout of the hotel, meals and quiet spots, and a gentle pace for each day.
